The Sheriff’s Office continues to receive intelligence out of Mesa on the illegal immigration problem and at the appropriate time Sheriff Arpaio will go into Mesa for his crime suppression.

“Some elected officials and immigration activists continue to criticize me by saying we only go after cracked windshields.” Arpaio says, “In the last thirty days pursuant to my office enforcing all aspects of the illegal immigration law, three rapists, who are illegal aliens, were arrested for sexually assaulting and victimizing minors.”

The two day operation in Fountain Hills concluded with twenty-seven traffic stops and twenty arrests, sixteen of them illegal aliens.
