President Obama's credentials as a caring and compassionate "progressive" have been shattered by a series of John W. Lillpoppratfalls that are making his commitment to CHANGE more of a threat than a promise.

Recent examples include a callous disregard for the families of 9/11 victims in his rush to disassemble anti-terrorist policies which have kept America safe for 7 plus years, his disdain for Great Britain, America's most loyal and powerful American in the world, and his clumsy attempt to upbraid disabled veterans in order to fund medical care for illegal aliens among others.

However, Obama's lack of tolerance scaled new heights this week when he turned what should have been a "feel good" appearance on The Tonight Show into a firestorm of controversy involving wretchedly poor judgment and ugly remarks about millions of mentally disabled people.

Worst of all, Obama's insensitivity alienated a prominent member of the very "progressive" Kennedy clan in California, the second most liberal-infested state in America.

As reported, in part, at Breitbart:

"Maria Shriver says Obama's joke comparing his poor bowling score to that of a Special Olympics athlete was hurtful, although she is sure he didn't mean it that way.

California's first lady issued a statement Friday, a day after the president made the gaffe on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Obama later called Maria's brother, Special Olympics Chairman Tim Shriver, to apologize.

The siblings' mother, Eunice Kennedy-Shriver, founded the Special Olympics and has championed the rights of the mentally disabled.

Maria Shriver says the reaction to Obama's joke shows there is still more work to do. She says laughing at such comments 'hurts millions of people throughout the world.'

The president's latest antic adds credibility to a growing perception among friends and foes alike: Without a script and TelePrompTer to dictate his every utterance, Barack Obama's verbal skills are more akin to those of George W. Bush than John F. Kennedy.

Perhaps the president should be required to attend Diversity and Sensitivity training in order to contain this communications nightmare?
