The Cost of Coming in Here Illegal  

The timing of poor Mr. Santiago’s violent demise, and its reported circumstances, fit perfectly into the marketing plan and empathetic strategies formulated by the social engineering team recruited by Prince John some months earlier.  Everything had been put on HOLD, awaiting the outcome of John’s failed gubernatorial run in the fall of 2006.  Manuel’s “robbery”/murder was the perfect incident to overcome inertia and jumpstart the stalled master plan.

Now, all they needed was a “reporter” to disseminate the tragic, heart-wrenching saga of the poor illegal immigrant’s life and death.

Enter Paul Bass.

Embarrassingly for New Haven Independent founder and ‘ace gumshoe street reporter’ Paul Bass, the NHPD and/or City Hall’s well-greased spin apparatus pulled one over on him again.  Leaning hard left and eagerly dragging their manure bucket around town, Mr. Bass got snookered big time by Prince John and his fork-tongued ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION violin players when Paul and the Independent published their 10/25/06, ‘American Dream ’ biography of a purported Fair Haven ILLEGAL Mexican immigrant brutally murdered for his paycheck in our Fair City.

The published story (complete with photographs of the deceased in his casket, the respectful undertaker and the victim’s grieving brother) is quoted from the Independent as follows:


“A robber stabbed Manuel Santiago to death last week.  Santiago was on Ferry Street cashing his paycheck; the robber was waiting.  Manuel put up a fight; the robber responded by killing him.  It was one more crime in New Haven committed by people who know that immigrants fear contacting the police.”
“Manuel lived in Fair Haven near the Chabaso bread bakery on James Street, where he had a maintenance job.  He liked soccer and basketball.  He kept out of trouble.  He worked hard.”
“And he was here illegally.”

WELL…according to the New Haven Register (1/19/08) …and referencing Superior Court Judge Richard Damiani, Defense Attorney Paul Carty and Prosecutors…

THAT’S NOT QUITE WHAT REALLY HAPPENED !!


as per Police, victim Santiago was a LEGAL AMERICAN CITIZEN, not a Mexican immigrant who “was here illegally”
the perpetrator, 29 year old Pedro Luis Lespier, pleaded guilty to First Degree Manslaughter and Possession of Narcotics and was sentenced to twenty years by Judge Damiani; no apparent “robbery” plea or conviction
as per Prosecutors, the incident at issue was – IN FACT – a “street fight”; and Atty. Carty explained that said fight involved Lespier and his girlfriend doing battle with victim Santiago and some of his friends; Carty stated that perpetrator Lespier “was trying to protect himself and stabbed him (Santiago)” – AGAIN, no apparent robbery scenario whatsoever

SO, WHAT HAPPENED HERE PAUL?

The problem with the TRUTH in this matter is that it totally confounds the intended agenda of the pro ILLEGAL immigration exploiters, and is completely contrary to their misguided mission.  The victim here, according to the reported Court record, was NOT an illegal immigrant robbed of his paycheck.  The victim was IN FACT an apparent hard-working, law-abiding, productive AMERICAN CITIZEN.  The incident, per the court reporting, was a “street fight” involving a number of people – and NOT a scenario involving a robber in waiting.

It appears that Paul Bass and his New Haven Independent were USED to distort the truth and misinform the public at a crucial point in time: just as the Matos/DeStefano SANCTUARY CITY policies were about to be officially unveiled.  Our previously researched and published chronology (SEE www.watchdogproject.us ) of Prince John’s shenanigans reveal that, in October of 2006, the following was occurring in the Elm City:


Kica Matos and Junta were working with Southern Bank in Fair Haven on a program to assist immigrants with bank accounts
Prince John was actively seeking a “funding source” for the Kingdom’s yet-to-be-finalized world famous Elm City Illegal Immigrant ID Card program
the NHPD’s non-enforcement Sanctuary City General Order was in the latter stages of the drafting phase
and Junta and Professor Mike's Yale Law Clinic volunteer minion squad had begun a "financial literacy survey" in Hispanic communities to "fine tune" potential  "financial literacy services" required by the immigrant population

On December 14, 2006, some 56 days after the FABRICATED street robbery and murder of a paycheck-cashing illegal immigrant ‘American Dream’ STORY, our visionary mayor – in bilingual press conference at the Palace gates – grotesquely, publicly and proudly – neuters the New Haven Police Department.  The Prince implements his new ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ Sanctuary City General Order 06-2.  New Haven is now an official ‘ICE-free’ zone.

Understanding this chronology and the timely momentum provided by the unfortunate and untimely demise of CITIZEN Santiago provides some perspective as to potential motivations for COMPLETELY DISTORTING THE FACTS of this murder.  Humh…who just might want to TAKE ADVANTAGE of such an unfortunate incident for one’s own political agenda, we ask?

NOW PAUL, LET’S TRY TO FIGURE THIS OUT:

You were either snookered by whomever your sources were back in October of 2006, OR you were in fact an acquiescent conspirator in this despicable charade perpetrated upon your readers and the uniformed masses.

Currently, we will assume the former – as embarrassing as it may be for someone of your renowned journalistic prowess.

HENCEFORTH, please double-check your facts and stay increasingly vigilant – as they (the evil-doers) will keep filling those dung buckets and shoving them your way.  Together, we can honestly, accurately and courageously keep the public informed until – finally and fittingly – the CITIZENS or the FEDS fervently fumigate the fortress.
