Rights to Material and Responsibility for Contents
The author is solely responsible for content of their submission.
Original content is always preferred and articles posted which consist solely of material copied directly from another website may be removed at Borderfire Report’s sole discretion.
Though Borderfire Report is entitled to fair use of copyrighted material, it may be removed in certain cases where the copyright holder challenges Borderfire Report’s republication.
Authors should always strive to credit their sources when possible, especially in the case of direct quotes, unless the source has spoken on the condition of anonymity. Crediting sources helps to build credibility and keeps readers better informed. Obvious breach of copyright and attempts to discredit regular contributors by posting erroneous material in their name will not be tolerated.
General Etiquette on Borderfire Report.
Contributors shall remain respectful of each other and Borderfire Report readership. Borderfire Report encourages debate, but please keep arguments on topic and focused on the points of disagreement.
No defamatory, obscene, or malicious material may be submitted. Nor may any material submitted include hate speech, vitriol, or links to obscene and pornographic sites, or sites with information you know, or have reason to know, is false.
Formatting and Style
Use normal capitulation rules. Posts which contain excessive capitulation are difficult to read and may be removed.
Headlines and article titles should use normal capitulation rules, as though they are a sentence without a period at the end.
If you publish your article with HTML, please do it with care. Publishing articles with some simple HTML formatting can more clearly organise the ideas presented and make the article easier to read. Excessive use of various font colors and sizes make the content difficult to read.
If you have doubts about your formatting or a style question, try consulting other articles to see if there is an obvious standard.
Categorisation of Content
Borderfire Report has chosen to categorise its content along similar lines as other news organizations. News content is categorised by the editors according to topics.
